Description: Transgenic GFP-fusion expression line harboring the pLRC1-4(AT1G08930)::ER-GFP:NOS construct. The GFP reporter fusion construct was generated by using the MultiSite Gateway Three-Fragment Vector Construction system (Invitrogen); final construct in Agrobacterium was transformed into Columbia ecotype plants by using the floral dip method; transformed plants (T1) were selected with Basta on soil and 5 to 7-day-old T2 seedlings were grown and imaged by using confocal laser scanning microscopy; distributed seeds are T3.

Phenotype
Transcription factor (TF) expressed in a tissue-enriched manner in roots: strong expression in epidermis (atrichoblast) and cortex from meristematic and early elongation zone, and lateral root cap and columella (fussy and non specific), weak expression in endodermis and possibly quiescent center (5/6; 7DFG); but no expression in stele; at 4.5% sucrose, lateral root cap and epidermis in meristematic zone and elongation zone. From maturation zone atrichoblast and cortex, later only in cortex (5/5; 7DAG); at 1%, there is early starting of expression in cortex in meristematic zone, overall expression is weaker than 4.5% (4/5; 7DAG).
